Rita Hansen, the Head Distiller for Argonaut Brandy, has been working with spirits since 2010 when she moved from winemaking analysis to E & J Distillers. She helped launch Argonaut as the Head Distiller in 2017.
Rita has been focused on brandy for a number of years and says that among all spirits, she particularly enjoys the complexities of brandy making, from blending decisions to the nuances that the aging and barrel programs can impart in brandy.
She holds a B.A. in biology CSU San Francisco and a B.A in chemistry from CSU Stanislaus, and is currently pursuing an MBA from Pepperdine University. She lives in Modesto with her husband and two small children, and when she has time, plays golf with her family.
