BevCon® Announces New Location, Dates and Call for Presentations for 2018
CHARLESTON, SC—December 14, 2017— BevCon®, an annual beverage industry-only conference, has announced it will take place at the LINE Hotel in Koreatown, Los Angeles on August 19-21, 2018. Koreatown has been dubbed the “Cool Center of LA” by GQ magazine and the LINE has been named one of the hottest hotels in the city by numerous national publications. The boutique hotel was created and managed by Sydell Group, who’s portfolio includes NoMad and Freehand in the U.S. Chef Roy Choi is responsible for the food & beverage programming at the LINE, the Commissary, a converted greenhouse connected to a nearby pool area. The rooms feature floor to ceiling windows, rustic concrete walls, unique art fixtures, and the bed in the center of the room to overlook the view.
BevCon® will launch the Call for Presentations applications online on Friday, December 15. Presentations can cover a wide range of topics as they relate to the beverage industry, and can be done as a workshop, a visual presentation, a panel discussion, or a tasting/technique format. Subjects of interest include bar operations, education, beverage making, professional development, management, legal and business operations, and media and marketing. Any subject covering trends or predictions tend to be popular sessions and content is preferred to be more advanced in nature. Applications are due Friday, February 3, 2018.
